Car mirrors are among the parts or components of the car that are most exposed to the risk of damage. Either while driving or parking the car, at any time your car glass can crack or break.
Because of this, when renewing insurance with a comprehensive plan you are strongly encouraged to get one additional cover for your car mirrors every year – in other words, get car mirror insurance when renewing the insurance.

Saya bukan pemegang polisi komprehensif, bolehkah saya claim insurans untuk baiki cermin kereta?
Tidak! Hanya pemegang polisi komprehensif sahaja yang layak untuk membuat tuntutan insurans bagi membaiki kerosakan pada cermin kereta. Melainkan anda ada mengambil perlindungan tambahan cermin kereta di bawah polisi insurans anda ketika pembaharuan insurans tempoh hari, maka barulah tuntutan boleh dibuat.
Cara claim insuran cermin kereta
Tanpa berlengah lagi, jom kami kongsikan cara yang sebenarnya mudah dan ringkas untuk anda claim insuran cermin kereta yang telah rosak, pecah atau retak:
- Hantar kereta anda ke bengkel panel yang diiktiraf oleh syarikat insurans anda. Sekiranya anda tidak pasti, segera hubungi talian awam syarikat insurans anda.
- Isi borang tuntutan di bengkel tersebut. Pastikan anda beritahu pekerja di bengkel bahawa anda ingin membuat tuntutan daripada syarikat insurans anda.

How many times can a claim for car mirrors be made?
You can claim multiple times as long as the maximum contribution limit is not used up. For example, if you take out cover for RM1,000, if on the first claim you only spend RM500 on car windshield repair, then you have another RM500 left and can make another claim during the active policy period. - However, this condition is only subject if you have taken additional car mirror protection only .
Car windshield repairs are expensive, so get the best insurance coverage!
You need to remember, the cost of repairing car mirrors is not only tens of ringgit, but instead it can reach up to thousands of ringgit. So it's best when you want to renew your insurance, try to get a comprehensive insurance plan (if you're still eligible) and add-on additional protection for your car mirrors.
The premium to be paid for this additional coverage is not that high. Around 15% of the sum insured is for your car glass only. So, if say the price for your car glass is RM600, you need to pay no more than RM90 for this protection premium, per year.
This rate is actually more profitable and worth it if compared to the amount of money you have to spend yourself to repair a damaged car mirror.
